After years of living in the same aging home, my wife and I decided to remodel last year. Like many people, we'd gotten tired of our new home. For a small minority of people, purchasing a new home is a fix for this problem. Most people can't afford that and they must just live with that aging home. The kitchen needed the most work. Everything in there was in shambles. The kitchen looked like the designed had only swatches made from Sesame Street characters. The hard work would start there.
We decided to have each room have its own design and materials. The company installed granite countertops. We also wanted a a mahogany vanity with granite trim to compliment the countertop. For the kitchen, we chose to go with quartz countertops and hardwood floors.
Now that the remodeling is complete, we feel much better about our home. Hopefully, it'll will be another ten years before we want to remodel again.
